Cat Burton is an adroit freelance content strategist, creative director, curator, producer, and model at the confluence of media, fashion, and art-focused experiences. Cat's exposure to curation, style, and production began in childhood with a full view of the theater stage's inner and outer workings. The importance of access to the arts and the strength of community were two things instilled in young Cat, and these ideals and lived experiences would manifest in Create Art Together. Comfortably at the helm, Cat produces innovative concepts, visuals, events, and shows for clients. With her belief in the power of collaboration as the impetus, she builds teams of creatives to get the job done. Her work reflects what she hopes to see more of in mainstream media and the fashion industry's future.
Across the portfolio of her work, Cat's vocational gravitas has shown her ability to execute all facets of production. In 2019, Cat accepted a role at August Wilson Center as Facilities Manager. Concurrently, Cat curated exhibitions at Social Status, Glitterbox Theater, and TRUSST Lingerie and directed her debut fashion show, "Styled By Example." Cat completed editorial work as a model and was a production assistant for a frequent non-profit collaborator, Style 412. Cat has since worked in various creative capacities with 1Hood Media, Luxurae Hair, Day Owl, Sabika Jewelry, and the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. Cat currently serves as the Children's Museum's Creative Arts Manager and curator of Museum Lab's "How You Wear It" exhibition and speaker series.
In 2022, Cat served on the arts advisory committees for Pittsburgh International Airport and Creative Learning Network and was also part of Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council's Pittsburgh Emerging Artist Leaders.
Cat hopes to continue providing opportunities for all to curate, collaborate and create art together.
