Styled By Example

Curated by Cat Burton, Styled By Example is a dazzling runway celebration of women's fashion through the decades. This immersive production highlights iconic styles from the 1920s to the future, each scene uniquely styled by standout creatives.

The show opens with Melaiya Jones’s opulent “Roaring with Style” (1920s), Luna Hernandez’s elegant “Borderline” (1930s), and Gabriela’s moody “Noir Dreams” (1940s), punctuated by a live performance of “Summertime” by Leila Rhodes. After an intermission featuring local vendors and a lively Best Dressed Competition with prizes from community sponsors, the audience is treated to a showstopping performance by Joziah Council.

The second half brings bold flair with Devyn Diaz’s “The Blooming Boom” (1970s), Alia Ssemakula’s “ALIA” (1980s), and Gabbi’s “Around the Way Girls” (1990s). Alia returns with “ALIAY2K” (2000s), and Norma Cusin closes the show with a visionary final look in “The Future is Female.”
